Weifang Medical University is a full-time medical college in Shandong province. It is located in Weifang City, the world's kite capital, which is known far and wide in the middle of Shandong peninsula. The history of the school is traced back to the late nineteenth Century and early twentieth Century, the music school and the American Presbyterian Hospital of Wei county. In 1951, the school of Shandong province's Chang Wei medical staff was set up. In 1958, it was transformed into Chang Wei medical college. The name was renamed in 1987.
